Fruit stands all along the highways provide low priced cherries of all varieties, an assortment of apple varieties, apricots, peaches, Hermiston watermelons, Walla Walla sweet onions, sweet corn, asparagus and potatoes. Of course, the growth of area vineyards have produced some of the best wines in the nation. Wineries with their tasting rooms and wine tours are a large attraction to locals and visitors alike.
